One Word After Another

My words come in many forms

EXCITING NEWS!
  • I have started a playwriting critique group (because there wasn't one).
  • We are calling ourselves 45th Parallel Playwrights and we meet the 4th Saturday of each month at Keizer Homegrown Theater, in Keizer, Oregon.
  • If you are a playwright or want to practice your cold-read skills, visit us 4th Saturday 10-12 (except for Dec. 21).

Yes, this is my website about writing. Well, it's about my writing.

I write in many forms and you can find examples by clicking on any of the headings to the left. I will occasionally change them out - so stay tuned.

I'm not really qualified to help you with your writing - though I will say, if you want to write then you have to do that physical thing of pencil to paper, or fingers to keyboard and let the words flow. Turn off the editor in your head.

When the words exist, edit like hell and listen to your internal and external editors and rewrite again.

For me, years passed, thinking about writing and having no words to show for it. Ta da! Pencil to paper solved that problem.

If you go to My Words & Your Thoughts page you can let me know what you think. A sub page provides a list of some of my published work. (As with all resumes, there is a gap. I was often writing on my walking blog.)

The above picture is from Jack London's Office at the California Historic State Park in Glen Ellen. He wrote 1,000 words/day. Not a bad record when playing and drinking hard. His wife, Charmian typed his work.
